Hey howdy hey!!!
This week has been pretty slow. Nobody has wanted to open their doors for us. It doesn't help much that summer in a college town is usually a little slower. That's OK though, we had a baptism! A guy named Nick got baptized and he is pretty cool. The only sad thing is that he is moving this week. Oh well, that's life.
We are teaching some other cool people. We are still teaching the Brazilian. He is doing well. It is taking him a little longer to understand the B of M. We did give him a Portuguese B of M, but he wants to improve his English and so he reads the English one. We also have this other investigator who is letting us use his GPS (cameras, gps, and cell phones are the only electronic devices we are allowed to use in this mission). We really don't need it too much because our maps do a pretty good job, but we have fun with it. It is one of those ones that talk to you and tell you when to turn and all that fun stuff. We have named it Jimbo, because our investigator's name is Jim. Jimbo is lots of fun. We have been playing around with it a lot.
Well, I hope it's not too hot over there. It is really sticky, humid, and gross here. I'm not a fan. Oh well, it will only be like this for another couple months.
