Owen to stay longer in Hospital
Just a update on little Owen. Peter called and said Owen had to stay in the hospital until the end of the week. He has pneumonia in one of his lungs. He asks if we will please remember him in our prayers. Peter will let us know how things are going.

Missy's April 28th email
Aawwww! What a cute baby! Congrats to Pete and Faunice! I love the pictures and I am so glad he has dimples! That automatically makes him a hottie. You better keep all the girls away from him!
Guess what? My companion has ringworm. Do ya'll know what that is. I didn't until she got it. Now I am doing everything I can not to touch her. She only has one right now so I hope it doesn't spread. Anyways, that is about all the exciting news from this week. The rest of the week has been a lot of driving and working. We went to the marion branch this sunday. It is truly a backcountry hick branch. There were about 20 people there, 15 of them were 50+ years old. It was kinda a eye opener. I am used to at least 80+ people at church.
So, I am pretty boring. I don't have much else to say except that I am excited to talk to ya'll on mothers day. So far I don't see any problem calling at 5pm utah time. If there is I will let you know, so plan on 5:00 on the dot!
I love ya'll more then ringworm! (a lot more!)

A Visit to see Owen Glenn
Dad and I went to see Faunice and little Owen Glenn Dixon. His pictures really don't do him justice. He is quite a little charmer. His Oma and Opa have fallen hard! And Auntie's Lilli and Emily are not far behind!
Notice the dimples on this child. Here he is showing them off for the camera. Thoughtful of him!
The dimples in his cheeks are from Faunice and the one in his chin is from Peter.
It looks here like he is hooked up to tons of things, but he wasn't when we saw him. The reason it looks like it here is because he had just been given an antibiotic. But he is looking good.
As you see in this picture we are trying to get him to notice us. He let us know that he knew we were there by showing us those beautiful dimples you saw in the first picture.
The dimples in his cheeks are from Faunice and the one in his chin is from Peter.

Missy's April 20th email
Hey Ya'll!
So, here I am in the big city of Marion. there isn't anything here. It is all very country. Downtown is old and historic and consists of two blocks of stores. It's a pretty happening place. There are no other missionaries around. It is kinda weird. My whole mission I have always had Elders around, usually in the same ward. Now our closest Elders lives a hour away. I am in the middle of nowhere. That's OK though, we have a huge area. We take up Tabor City branch (which is in North Carolina and smaller than Marion) and the Marion Branch. We have to trade off going to branches on Sundays. The members are nice, back country folks. Were ya'll able to find Marion and Tabor City on the map?
There are a lot of good people here too. It is nice to be around more humble people again. We have some way good people that are going to be baptized soon. Lets just say that people here are more willing to listen to the gospel. It is a pretty nice blessing for me.
Whenever we go to Tabor City we stay two days and stay overnight at a members house. Her name is Barbara Duncan and she is my new favorite person. She is the cutest old lady and she makes some very good southern food! that is another thing about this area. Everyone was born and raise here and they all make the true blue southern food. That also means that it is all pretty greasy. I hopefully not have a heart attack while living here.
Anyway, my birthday is coming and I would like some good and funny pictures of everyone. Homemade beef jerky sounds pretty good too. That's all the hints I can think of right now.
I hope ya'll have a wonderful week!

Becca's Birthday is April 19th
A very happy birthday to our sweet little Rebecca Jane Wolford. She is turning 6 years old on Saturday the 19th of April.
Becca loves to give talks in primary and does them exceptionally well. She has a lot of poise and everything she does, she does with great enthusiasm!
Some things you might not know about Becca are Pink and purple are her favorite colors, she loves school, drawing, ice cream and peanut butter with honey sandwiches, playing with cousins, pretending, and cuddling.
Some things that people might not know: she eats two breakfasts every day: one before everyone is up and the second with the other kids. She is happy and bounces everywhere she goes, She plans on marrying Alex when she grows up.
One of my favorite memories of Becca is when I would open the door she will give me a big hug and tell me I am the most beautiful person in the whole world. How can you not just love that kind of compliment!
Happy Birthday Becca!

We had to send this cute picture along to you. Emily made some brownies for Sunday evening. As you can see by this picture, Millie liked the brownies! As you can see, no matter what Millie is wearing she is a very pretty girl.
Joshua has now turned 2 years old. Katie and Robert tell us that he is doing the 2 year old thing very well. Sounds like he has a lot of the Dixons in him! It seems very appropriate that he is wearing a monkey shirt.

Missy's Email
Hey Ya'll!
This week has been eventful! First, I am being transfered to Marion. It is in the northeast part of the state and the area I will be working acaully covers a little bit of North Carolina. Sister Howard was there and she says it is very country. It should be fun. I am excited! My comp is going to be Sister Duke. I have been comps with her before. fun fun.
Anyways, this week all the sisters in the misson had a temple day. We all met in Columbia and went to the temple. It was amazing as usual! Then President Brailsford took us out to lunch. It was so much fun! There are only 12 sisters and we never get to see each other all at once, so we had a blast! It was pretty sad when we had to come back. The last time they had a sisters temple day was almost 3 years ago, so they are few and far between. It was pretty fun.
Today a member is taking us to Hollywild. It is kinda a zoo with unusual animals and animals that have been in movies. I have been wanting to go the whole time I have been in Spartanburg and now I get to go on the last day. I am way excited! Then we are going to the Beacon. it is supposed to be world famous. I don't know why, I have been there before and all it is is super greasy food. But, it is world famous and a member insisted to take us there. I didn't thing there would be anything world famous in Spartanburg.
Well, I hope ya'll have a amazing week. I know I will. I am excited to go to marion. Try to find it on the map!
I love ya'll!
Sister Dixon
P.S. I am sending a couple packages home. They are just full of old letters and other stuff that I don't need right now. Don't open them, just throw them with the rest of my junk. Thanks

The Crawler
Hey Everyone!
Xander has learned to crawl Today! Acutally, it was yesterday - but we didn't think of posting it until Today...
He is still kinda shaky at it, and it doesn't appear to be his preferred method of getting around (let's face it, he has two personal servants for taking him anywhere he wants - being carried is superior to slow crawling). It is, however, a lot more efficient than scooting around.
I apologize if you are, like me, using a dial-up connection - this video is bigger than I thought.

Kabobs!
Hey guys! I think I've found a place that sells kabobs. Kind of kabobs. Well, it's just like everything Jim and Peter have ever described, including the spit! They sell it at Astro-burger in Midvale. I went there for lunch and boy was it goooood! They're called "gyros" (pronounced "eur-ohs." My coworkers made fun of me for at least 10 seconds over that.)Anyways, does anyone want to go there for lunch on Friday or Saturday? Leave a comment!
This is one of my favorite pictures. The children surprised Dad and I for a romantic anniversary dinner. I was so impressed! They were awesome. Who knew that we had such amazing, romantic, enterprising children. They were so excited and it is a memory I will never forget!
What you you remember about this picture?
Heather remembered something I had forgotten about that night:
The blog is awesome! I think I'm going to post something today. Lol...I still remember that evening when we dressed up like waiters. We sent you on a treasure hunt to find certain things (Like, "Go to Video Express" and check out "Lady and the Tramp") but a lot of the places were closed, so you would go to Harmon's to get it instead. And then we made a couple that were "Go to Harmon's and get..." :D I think you were pretty sick of Harmon's that night
Missy's email
Hey!
What is a blog? I have heard the name before, but I have never seen one and I don't know what they are. I can't get on it. It is not a approved website for missionaries. I can't wait to see it when I get home, whatever it is.
Anyways, wasn't conference awesome! I loved it so much. One of my favorite parts was Elder Bednar saying that missionaries are full time teachers and members are full time finders. I hope people take that to heart. An apostle of the Lord said it! That is the way things should be.
Nothing much happened except for conferance. This past week was kinda cold. It was lousy for my companion because she has arthritis in her back and so the cold makes it worse. Especially when the temp. will drop 20 degrees in a matter of hours. She doesn't have time to get used to it. We were able to teach some way cool people this week. They didn't come to conference though, they would've liked it. Do you remember me mentioning Jenny, she thought she was a member but really wasn't. Well, she disappeared. We have no idea where she is. We think she was evicted, but she is not answering her cell phone. Sad day. Hopefully we will be able to find her.
Well, I hope y'all have a wonderful week. Follow The Prophet!

Conference Time
Hey Everyone,
Heather has been showing me how to make a blog for our family. So when something exciting happens, please put it in our Dixon Family Blog and we will have a record of the happenings that are going on in the family. A good way for us to support and keep up on all the happenings. I am hoping this will help our family keep in touch (Heather says, "Tight like Sprite"). It will work only if ya'all contribute. Besides I love hearing about you!

Opa caught a smile from little Tommy.
Ellie and Becca love getting there picture taken
Emily loved listening to Conference in her pj's
