Where Am I Going?
Hello everyone! I've recently had my Stake President interview and my papers will be sent in a week from now (the 18th), and I should have my call two weeks from Wednesday. Recently, we've had most family members guess where I'm going, and luckily, we've had some pretty diverse guesses!
What we're doing here is a contest. For those of you who haven't guessed yet, put where you think I'll be called to serve in the comments and your guess will be added to the list. The person who has the closest guess is the winner and will receive a pretty awesome prize!
Here's the list (if you had two guesses, I took one of the two to make it fair):
Dad: Japan
Mom: Ghana, Africa
Missy: Portland, Oregon
Sarah D.: Japan
Lilli: Italy
Emily: Texas
Adam: ???
Robert: Toronto, Canada
Katie: Scandinavia
Christopher: Somewhere in the N. Hemisphere
Mary Kate: Australia
Millie: England
Sarah T.: Florida
Scott: Chile
Mary W.: Arizona
Steven: Norway
Anna: New Mexico
Becca: France
Ellie: Washington D.C.
Tommy: Hawaii
Tom: Phillipeans
Kristy: Washington
Peter: Brazil
Faunice: Texas
Jim: Russia
Erin: Brazil
Geoffery: Montana
Heather: China (including Hong Kong)
Wesley: Baltic States
Brother Cook: Germany
Brother Breitweizer: Japan
Those are all the guesses so far. If you don't see your name or guess up there, make sure you put it in the comments and I'll add it to the list!

Katie Update
People often ask me about Katie and update them. I sometimes don't remember who I have told what to. Mary put a post on Facebook a few days ago and updated Facebook people about Katie's condition. I've ask Mary if I could put it on our blog too, so those without Facebook can get updated info.
Also, there has been some confusion about when we are fasting and going to the temple. It is the 4t Sunday. Dad suggests we send out a reminder, which I think is a great idea. Also, when you put Katie's name on the prayer roll, would you also put the name of her doctor, Jennifer Wright? Let's ask Heavenly Father to inspire her doctor to know what will work for Katie.
Dad and I love you all so much and just don't know what we would do without you. Every single member of this family is such an asset! I feel our prayers and faith will be heard.
Mary's Facebook Post
As you all know, Katie is very humble and reticent when it comes to
sharing info. I thought it might be nice for everyone to get updates on
her status, so I'm taking the initiative and posting on her behalf (she
gave me permission).
Her last scan showed no change in the size of
her tumors. That's good and bad: we're glad the tumors are being kept
at bay (we know they would surely be growing without chemo) but we wish
they were shrinking instead. Obviously.
Even though it is
harsh, she'll be staying on this chemo until another option comes.
There is a trial chemo coming out later this year that might target the
proteins in her type of cancer. The first round is all filled, so she
is on the waiting list for the second.
Prayers are so appreciated.
Katie's cancer doctor has told her that Katie has been on this kind of
chemo for longer than anyone else -- it's side effects are too harsh.
It's not easy for her, but she's a fighter and very positive -- always
pointing out how it could be worse or how she's doing better than
yesterday/last night/last week. I know her success is because of your
prayers. Sincere thanks
