This week was the week! I hit my year mark last Wednesday! In the mission, I'm officially one year old! Man, I feel so old. To celebrate the event, I burned a shirt! Don't worry though, this shirt I burned had some big black paint stains since forever ago that could never wash out. I never wore the shirt and it burnt up very well!
I'm including some pictures of the missionary ritual. I especially love the one where the flame is like a giant ball of fire. That one's cool.
This week's been better for me, but it was EXTREMELY hot too. The hottest week I've had in the mission! We got cooked up! But, we managed to find some people who have a ton of promise!
One person we found had actually spoken with the missionaries in her old city, and was super close to getting baptized. She found us and we've managed to teach her a little bit. She's progressing super fast, by reading the Book of Mormon and attending church already.
Another person that's (finally) progressing is the father and grandfather of our recent converts. We've tried teaching him again and again, but the guy just wasn't progressing. Recently, he kind of had a nasty motorcycle accident and almost died, because he was driving drunk. He's alright now, but he took that as incentive to change his life.
Things are starting to run smoothly again! I've kind of had some rough bumps and stumps recently, but those are starting to finish! Everything from now on will run perfectly!
Love,
Adam
