Dear Family,
Well it's Christmas week! EXCITING!!! What a great time of the year. Next time you hear from me, it will be on the phone!! YAY! I will be calling hopefully at 6 or 7pm my time Christmas day. That would be 4 or 5pm your time, I think. I hope I still remember the number.
Well, things are exciting being in a trio again. Sister Allen is as energetic as ever, and has told me that I'm not going to get trunky even if she has to drag me like an ox. She is as subtle as ever. I appreciate the effort she makes :)
There is no snow here yet, but they say there should be snow for Christmas, which is exciting. I love snow.
I got to visit David and Faye Ellis, and as a nice surprise, Rebecca Ellis, another cousin who lives in Providence, was there. They are so so sweet! I only got to sit down for a hour with them, but we talked about family and things. They are so great! David pulled out the family history he had and told me all about the Bergstrom line, and where we came from and everything. It was great.
Dorothy and Jacob, our investigators, didn't make it to church yesterday. Since Dorothy has been coming to church for the past three months, and all of the sudden misses without letting us know what was going on, we were worried, so we gave her a call. She assured us that everything was fine, and that she just had a lot of stuff to do. I still wasn't satisfied, so I conned my companions into heart attacking her door, just to let her know we love her. So I wrote out all these cute little notes and put a bunch of tape all over my hands, so it would be quick to just stick up there. Then, with Sister Allen as the getaway driver, Sister Green and I snuck up to her door to do the deed. I even sang dangerous theme music. As we crouched below the door window, her dog, Buster, started barking. usually, they just tell him to be quiet and ignore him, but this time, Dorothy decided to see what was going on.
Needless to say, our surprise was ruined.
We scared her half to death.
She invited us in for a minute where we explained ourselves. I took the tape off my hands. We all had a good laugh, and as we left, she whispered to me "I know you were the instigator of this all! It sounds like something you would do." I didn't know if I was getting scolded or not. She invited us back over, and she's a pretty cool lady, so I'm guessing everything is okay, but I feel really bad for spooking our investigator. But it was kind of funny.
Well, not much else is new. I'll be talking to you all in a week! Yay! I love you all and I hope you have a very merry Christmas.
Sister Dixon
