Conference Time

So Family,

It's that time again. Everyone is invited to come Sunday to watch one or both sessions of Conference. Hurray! I love this time of year.

We will be having a soup and bread bar between sessions. Anyone who is interested can bring either a crock pot of your favorite soup, or your favorite kind of bread! (But only if you want to bring something, I still have trouble cooking down, if you know what I mean!) I am planning on making potato soup, some kind of chili and probably some kind of chicken soup.

There will be Bingo for anyone who would like to play Conference Bingo. I've collected quite a few different varieties of Conference Bingo cards. Come and see if I have one that you haven't played yet!

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait....

Love you tons,
Mom

P.S. I have to tell you guys, I'm simply bursting with the newest most wonderfulness news! Katie said I could tell......Robert and Katie just found out that they are having a little girl!!!! She is due August 14th. CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT....................life just keeps getting better!

Sounds good! Thanks Erin.

Mom -- would you rather I bring a broccoli-cheese soup or some bread?

Oh Yum! Broccoli cheese soup sounds good, but bread might be easier. With you in the middle of home decorating, getting ready to move and the new addition to the family, why don't you bring rolls. But I would love the recipe for your broccoli cheese soup.

Oh! I would like to make/bring a soup! I happen to be very good at Mary's white chicken chili recipe.

Hooray for another girl! I love how the boys and girls in the Dixon family seem to take turns and come in packs! I guess it doesn't happen every time but we sure had a ton of boys all at once and now it seems to be the girls.

It's actually Kate's recipe. Or Mom's. I can't remember -- I just copy

Heather, That would be wonderful. I was hoping for that white chicken chili.

I agree Kristy. I've wondered if we had any say in the preexistence as to what family we went to, or even if we could be in the same family or group as our friends we had on the other side. I guess it's just one of those things that are fun to think about! But I like to think we had a say in the decision.

We'll come for the morning session. Is it all right if we bring bread? I always hate to travel an hour with something that has spoilage potential. Maybe I can get up the energy for homemade bread sticks.

Oh, and just a side note, Julie, my patriarchal blessing says I chose my parents. Not canonized church doctrine, but interesting still.

I do think that is interesting, and I have to admit feels right to me. I wonder if feelings we have in this life will be confirmed when we get on the other side. Thanks for sharing that Faunice.
