Sarah's October 25th Email

Dear Family

NEW TRANSFER!!!!
Sister Phillips and I were lucky enough to stay in Oxford this transfer. We got even luckier, we are now in a trio. Our new companion, Sister Halverson, is awesome. she's super sweet. we have high hopes for this transfer, we have a goal to get TEN Baptisms! We have six dates so far, and we've already had one baptism, so it looks attainable. We are teaching a family right now, who I might have told you about, the Parker/Spatso family. They are getting baptized on the 17th of November. They are golden. really really golden. The only foreseeable problem is that the father spends a lot in his bar, but they want to get sealed as a family, so hopefully that outweighs his desire to drink. We shall see.

Saturday we moved to a apartment by the church the address is:
288 Main st. 2B
Oxford MA, 01540

We have a retired cop living below us who offered to help us move in. He was really nice. We are going to bake him cookies later. Today, however, most of the day is devoted to cleaning out our old apartment.
Story behind that:
The people downstairs can hear when we breath.
The lady downstairs is really cranky and sleeps till noon.
They told us to sleep in or get out.
That's all.
Our new apartment has padded carpets

I am glad that Seven brides for Dracula is going well, I'm still waiting to hear a synopsis of this fascinating tale. That's cool that you guys get to work with Mrs. Bone. Do you like her? She's a good director.

I love you all! I hope you all have a fun Halloween! We are having a trunk or treat with a chili cook off, and the missionaries get to be the judge! I love being a missionary! What shall I dress up as?

PS, A member tonight is going to feed us Lobster. They are going to cook live lobster in front of us. I am stoked. I'll tell you how it goes.

PPS, I'm getting a haircut. I'll send pictures. Hopefully tonight. luffs!

New Job and Possibly a Move for the Wolfords

I have been offered, and have accepted, a new job with the State of Utah. I will be the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator for the Department of Technology Services.

I'm not exactly sure what I'll be doing (and so far my best qualification is that I'm too dumb to overcomplicate descriptions of radio infrastructure) but we're excited about the new job, and we're excited to move a little further south.

Sarah's email October 20th

Dear Family,

I love love love the pictures. You all look so much older than when I last saw you all. I did a double take when I saw Millie. She looks so grown up!!! It looks like the pumpkin patch was waaaay fun! It makes me all reminiscent...like that time I found a pumpkin so big I couldn't carry it....one that looked like it was covered in warts....one that was an exact replica of Abraham Lincoln's face. ah, good times.

It sounds as though things are going well. Lilli and Emily, I hope everything goes well with your play. you'll have to tell me what it's about. I'm glad you guys are having fun.

Things are sooooo busy here! We are having lesson after lesson! The Lord is blessing us sooooo much. Transfers came, and luckily neither Phil or I are getting transferred, but they are shaking things up and putting another Sister missionary with us in a trio. We shall see how it all goes. we want to pull a prank on her. We shall see what happens... but we are seriously busy. Today was supposed to be our P day, but we forfeited it in favor of teaching. maybe not the best idea, because now we are both grumpy, we have to do laundry late at night, and I have to cut my e-mail writing short.

Update: I perhaps did not tell everyone about my fab living situations. And I won't. Because they really aren't fab. However, next week I'm moving! Yay! We are super excited. the only problem is that the apartment was chosen with two sisters in mind, and now we will be having three....hmmm...we will make it work. I am excited. The church is true! I love Massachusetts! God is blessing me so so much. Thank you again for your prayers. lots of good things are going on here!

Last night the Relief Society did a service auction and I won a haircut from one of the ladies in the ward who does hair, so I'll send you a picture after it's cut. I plan to send pictures, but you will all have to wait until I get more stamps, because the library computer doesn't allow me to send them online. sorry. but I have them.

I love you all! I miss you so much. I am so lucky to have such a great family! keep being awesome!!

Sarah's Christmas

Dear Family,

We got a letter today from Sarah's mission presidents wife, Sister Evans. She has asked for all the missionaries family please send any Christmas gifts they are going to give their missionary to the mission office by November 19th. And to please mark on the outside of the box CHRISTMAS.

The mission address is:
Sister Sarah Dixon
Massachusetts Boston Mission
182 W. Central, #203
Natick, MA 01760
USA

They will save them for Christmas to give to the missionary. I guess they want to make sure that all the missionaries get packages for Christmas.

Brevan
Sometimes waiting is hard.

Here we are the wagon!

^^I'm thinkin of selling that one to the church, to use in a Mormonad or something.

So many pumpkins to choose from!
Brevan learns that weeds are not pumpkins.
Nice one!

I told Josh this one wasn't happy enough. He needed to smile.
Here's his smile. *headsmash*

Oh! I miss you guys!!!
Yesterday was a holiday and all the libraries were closed. So I have to write you all today, but it has to be extra quick I am printing off pictures soon, so I will send some to you all.

It sounds like you guys are doing great! With choir and drama and pumpkins and Jimmy maybe getting married. (You decide to do that now?!?!?!) I really miss you all.

Things here are still fab! We have Victoria's Baptism coming up on Sunday, and she's really excited. Yesterday, her family took us hiking at a place called purgatory. Missionaries in purgatory was the running joke. Both Phil and I are really sore. It was fun.

We are now teaching a family! They are so awesome! It's a woman and her four daughters. We have not yet met her husband, but we are in hope!!! Two of them have a baptismal date and the rest will come. They all really want to be sealed in the temple. We REALLY want to see them sealed in the temple. They are really awesome.

This week has been fairly normal, except we chased a frog around for half an hour. Long story. we named him King Lamoni.

I love you all! Thank you for your prayers! You all are super awesome! I am so so lucky to have such a great family. THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!!!
luffs!
The Great Dixonini!
