Sarah's May 23rd Email
Dear Family,
China is not in my good book right now. Liqi, our new investigator called us up on Tuesday night and said that she had read the whole Book of Mormon in one day and that she felt spiritually fed and that it is a amazing book and God spoke to her through it.

I always like to hear stuff like that from investigators.
Anyway, we go to meet with her and she opens the Book of Mormon and the whole thing is highlighted and color-coded and she has all these amazing thoughts on scriptures (and she's so businesslike about it!) and so Sister Stevens and I get really excited.
And then she drops it.
"Oh, Dixon, I am going China next Wednesday and be back in August."
This was a blow, but we persisted. We asked her if she could make it to Hong Kong, where missionaries there could take care of her. She says no. We ask if we can have Temple Square missionaries Skype with her. Turns out that's against the law. oops. So then we get desperate:
"Liqi, you can't attend Church in Beijing unless you are a member! we can teach you the lessons right now and get you baptized before you go! that way, you can attend church and learn more there. You already know that the church is true!"
"Yes Dixon. but I think I will go to China and stay to August and read Book of Mormon several more times so I understand better and then come back and be baptized. that is my decide."
STUPID CHINA!!!
No offense to those who like china...actually, all the offense in the world meant! China stinks!
so anyway, it's raining right now, which reflects my mood.
Here, I'll try to be happier:
So all around Boston (apparently all around the world, so you probably have seen it), signs predicting Judgement day for the 21st of May. Obviously it didn't happen. the 21st was like the prettiest day so far. Although around the end of the day, it started to get foggy. haha. God has a sense of humor. Apparently, they have predicted 4 different judgement days in the past year. interesting. and they are still doing it. I just want to point out to them the scripture that says "No man shall know the day..." and all that jazz. funny.
I'm excited to see how the wedding goes. Jim and Erin have all my best wishes! I hope everything is fab! where are you going for your honeymoon. You probably already told me, but I forgot.
I hope you are all well, sorry that this letter was angry. She was so golden! and it's still fresh. oh well.
Love you all!

I've got a pretty darn good looking family.
So news: I'm not getting transferred and neither is Sister Stevens! we are staying together. SO WEIRD! We thought for sure one of us would get moved. including the MTC, we will have been companions for almost half our mission.(I am happy about this) crazy! next transfer we will be moved though, because next transfer we will be going to Connecticut! three sisters will go down there and three of them will come up here. I kind of hope I get to go down there. that would be fun.
So how is everything going for the wedding? everything going through okay? I got the wedding announcement. Erin, you look fabulous. Thank you for inviting me, I am afraid I may have to miss it. sorry.
There isn't much else to say. Things are good. We have a new investigator named Liqi, she is from china and has informed us she has every intention of being baptized. She is very to the point like that, but I don't mind!
School is probably wrapping up. I know it is here. all of our investigators are going home for the summer and we are down to two! but it's a good opportunity to work on my contacting skillz. I really don't like contacting very much, I prefer knocking doors, but that's not practical in singles wards, so I get to improve that which is weak. exciting!
Anyway, I love you all I hope things are going great for you! Congrats Wolfords!

Moving

Erin and I are getting ready to move stuffs into our new apartment this Saturday morning, and anyone who would like to help would be so very welcome. We will be meeting at Erin's house at 9:00 am to pack up some stuff and truck it over to the new apartment. She lives at 3140 Celeste Cir. in East Millcreek. We will have the empty van to transport all of the big stuff. We do have a lot of boxes full of clothes and what not, so if anyone wanted donate their cars for ferrying the afore mentioned boxes, that would be fantastic! Afterwards, there will be cookies and a light snack. We don't think it will take very long, because we don't have much stuff.
Thanks guys!

Wedding Day Stuff....
Hello All!! Just a few notes, some people have been asking questions and I don't want anyone to be lost that day, so here is what we have planned out.
9:45am: Parents of the Bride and Groom, Bride and Groom arrive at temple.
10:30am: Guests arrive at temple for sealing ceremony in regular Sunday Dress (not the reception attire - by request of the temple)
11am: Ceremony
Noon to about 1pm: Photos of ceremony guests around the temple
1:30pm: Luncheon
5:00pm: All Family needs to be in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (Empire Room) ready for pictures. All bridesmaids, groomsman, squirts of the above, Mom and Dad, and grandparents need to be dress in reception attire. There is a small brides room where we can stash purses, diaper bags, etc., but no room to change - That was my least favorite thing about this reception place, I'm sorry :(. After pictures are taken, if some people wouldn't mind helping set up the decorations in the reception room, that would be fantastic. There are centerpieces to be put out on the tables, a small book table and a photo table. It's not much and shouldn't take long.
6:30-8:30pm: Party Time!!! Gift takers need to be in place for when gifts start arriving (you know who you are :) ) Cake cutting and all that will be at 7:30pm.
Any questions, comments, concerns?
My sisters and I are going to manicures on the 24th in Salt Lake if anyone wants to join us. Probably late afternoon, early evening.
9 days....but who's been counting since we started at 120?
(p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSY!!!!!)

Sarah's May 2nd email
So about mothers day...
I will be skyping on Saturday, probably at 4 EST, which is 2 your time. So I will get to see all of you!!! I think our gmail accounts has a skype option so I'll just get onto my old e-mail address and connect with one of your e-mail addresses, and we can talk like normal people! So someone be on their gmail account at 2 on Saturday! Yay! I'm so excited. I know everyone will be coming on Sunday though, but since we don't have much time on Sunday, we wouldn't get a whole lot of time to talk, although I will call for a little bit just to say hi to everyone on Sunday. Dunno when. either 2 or 7ish area.
Soooooo. yeah. I'm stoked. We are going to a members house, Dennis Villa who is letting us use his computer. Dennis is awesome. He is Matt Dameon's Godfather. He has a first print copy of the Book of Mormon. I've seen it and it's pretty awesome. And he loves having us over.
This week was great! We had another Baptism, a girl named Linda Seymour, who is adorable and sweet. I forgot my camera, so you'll have to wait for the picture but it was great! She's 17 and goes to MIT. Her friends all introduced her so she has a great support system. It helps so much! There is a stark difference between those who we find and those introduced by friends.
The weather is beautiful, and the bugs are coming out. Yesterday, a foot long many legged thing scurried over my foot. I tried to smash it several times, but it got away. I think it was scared by all the screaming. And the shoe coming for it. Either way, I lay in wait until it returns, and then it will be mine!!!!
Nothing much else to report. Today we had a zone unity activity (which is why I'm writing late) in which we saved the world from a nuclear reactor (actually, it was two buckets of water we had to transfer the water (radioactive material) from one bucket (faulty core) to the other bucket (good core) without getting within ten feet of the buckets and all we had was rope and an inner tube.) It was fun. and then we had to make a rope house blindfolded to escape acid rain. I don't know how it made us more unified, but I do know that if I am ever stuck in acid rain with my zone and all we have is rope, I'm doomed!
So I can't wait to see you all on Saturday! I will try to be prompt, unlike last time, but I still make no guarantees. I love you all!
