Seven Brides for Dracula

Lilli and Emily are in the Clearfield community play.
Lilli plays Lucy (a female lead)
Emily plays Lily (the maid)

It's a hilarious Halloween melodrama.
It has songs such as 'The Transylvania Trance' 'We're Odd' and
Bugs Don't Bug Me' (my favorite).

We'd love to invite you to come and watch us make fools of ourselves!

The dates are October 21, 22, 23 and 25th
at 7:00 pm
at the Clearfield Center Little Theater
(that's the senior center)
140 East Center Street

We don't know yet how much the tickets will be but will post it when we know more details!

A smile for your day!

I love this one! Shows that difference doesn't have to make a difference, right!!??

After losing his parents, this 3 year old orangutan was so depressed he wouldn't eat and didn't respond to any medical treatments. The veterinarians thought he would surely die from sadness. The zoo keepers found an old sick dog on the grounds in the park at the zoo where the orangutan lived and took the dog to the animal treatment center. The dog arrived at the same time the orangutan was there being treated. The 2 lost souls met and have been inseparable ever since.

The orangutan found a new reason to live and each always tries his best to be a good companion to his new found friend. They are together 24 hours a day in all their activities.

They live in Northern California where swimming is their favorite past time, although Roscoe (the orangutan) is a little afraid of the water and needs his friend's help to swim.

Together they have discovered the joy and laughter in life and the value of friendship.

They have found more than a friendly shoulder to lean on.

Long Live Friendship!!!!!!!

I don't know......some say life is too short, others say it is too long, but I know that nothing that we do makes sense if we don't touch the hearts of others.......while it lasts!

Sarah's Sept. 28th plus upcoming event

Hey Family,

Guess what? It's Conference Time again! Hurray, one of the best times of the whole year. I just wanted to let all the girls know we will be having the girl party for all girls of the family and all boys under 12 years old. It will be held at the old homestead.

We will be doing fingernails, eyebrows, you know, girlie stuff! (sorry boys). We will also have an arts and craft thing here too.

Anyone one who wants to may bring some kind of appetizer. It will start as soon as you get your men off!

Then Sunday we will be having a potato bar. It is something that will work whether you come morning or afternoon. Can't wait! Love you all, Mom

Hey all!

Sorry I didn't write yesterday, I was super busy all day, but luckily I get to write today. for a few minutes.

So, things here are GORGEOUS! The trees are changing. I nearly got into a crash three times today because we were looking at trees. Just kidding but not really. They say that I haven't seen anything yet. But I feel like I'm in a Disney cartoon, it's so colorful here.
So the other day, a member told me that my testimony couldn't ever be as strong as his because I'm from Utah and I've been a Mormon all my life.
hmmmm....Prophet has been a Mormon all his life too......hmmmm.
Actually, I don't care because the work here has been BOOMING!!! We have gone from no investigators and no lessons and no baptisms to fifteen investigators, twenty lessons a week, and a baptism in the planning. Srsly, it's like something from a movie. I don't mean to brag but....aw nuts. I'll brag. Sister Phillips and I work really well together. She is way awesome, and the Lord has been blessing us nonstop. (of course I'm bragging in the Lord...) Thank you for your prayers. the people here are great.
I hope that Peter, Faunice, and Owen feel better. being sick is never fun.
Emily, it is so weird to think of you dating. Ewwwwwww. ew. ew. But after seeing the picture Mom sent of you I now understand.

Just don't get married until I get back, okay?
Mom, thank you thank you thank you for the pictures! I love them. they are perfect. You and Dad look like you could be senior missionaries or mission presidents. cool.
I love you all and I miss you so much! sorry this letter came late and I don't have more to say. I hope everything is going well with you! Thank you for your prayers, I know that God is blessing me!

Sarah's email September 20th

Family! Yay!
I love getting your e-mails!
Everything in Oxford is great, We have a few people who we might be able to make investigators, and the ward is really great. Nothing much has happened here really, we've done a lot of cleaning and driving and teaching and driving and studying and driving and tracting and driving, you know. Missionary stuff. And driving. We have a really big arear.
The leaves are starting to change!!! It is soooooooo pretty. On tuesday we went up to Worchester (pronounced Wooster. seriously.) for a meeting and It was such a pretty drive! I nearly crashed several times. haha. just kidding. But really, pray for my safety. I'm gonna need it.
We are currently teaching a 11yearold girl named Victoria. Her brother just got baptised, and we think she might be open to it. Their family could really benifit from it. Both parents are inactive, but willing to support their children in the church. They all think we are pretty cool. Who are we to argue?
Thank you for sending me my GPS. We could really use it. I won't tell you what we are currently using, just know that we turn around a lot.
Perhaps in the course of sending me GPS, I may recieve pictures.....? no pressure! I just forgot what you all look like. I still remember your names though, so that's a plus.
Just kidding....sort of.

I love you all! I miss you so much. Know that I am working hard and that the Lord is blessing me. Church is true!!!

Sarah's email September 13th

Heya all!
So my new arear is...
*drumroll*
OXFORD!!!!
I am super excited. Sister missionaries havent been here for at least a decade, and We get to take it over. We shall see if they are ready for us. I'll miss the people in Ludlow, though. sadly, I won't get to see Regina baptised, but I took part in her conversion, so that makes me happy.

The ward here is great! They are small, but very supportive and VERY excited to have Sister missionaries. My new companion is Sister Phillips. She. Is. Awesome. Really. She's got to be the coolest evah! She grew up in Nebraska and is a convert to the church, and has the most amazing testimony. I already love her. We are both sooooooo excited.
We took over the arear from Elders, and inherited their car and apartment. They told us that if they would have kown Sisters were moving there, they would have cleaned better.

Funny story:
We needed some stuff from the store, both grocery and non, so we thought "Oh, lets go to Walmart!" so we hopped in the car and drove off to the nearest walmart. Problem is, there really aren't that many walmarts here. and before we knew it, we had driven pretty far before we found a walmart. So we bought our stuff and started making our way back, when we passed a sign that said 'Welcome to Massachusetts!'
So........apparently, we had driven all the way to Conneticut to go to Walmart. completely out of our mission!!!! oops! Sister Phillips and I laughed pretty hard about that. We still chuckle sometimes.

So I now have a favor to ask of you, Mom...will you send me my GPS and power cords that go with it? We could really use it. right now we are using a really bad map. we tend to get lost a lot :D
BTW, my new address is 28 Carpenter Rd, Dudly, MA. Don't ask me the zip code. I've been trying to find out. When I do, I'll write you, but until then I'm stuck. sorry. Just send things to the Natick address, and they will forward it to me. We live above some members in their duplex. They were very surprised to find Sisters at their door.
Congratulations Lilli! A new car! that is awesome! when I went car hunting, I wanted the Elantris. ah well. I'm sure it's very pretty. PICTURES!!
how is the new baby doing?
Is Jimmy engaged yet?
How is school going?
That is awesome about Grandma! You know, doing temple work is as much missionary work as me being out here. helping those who have passed on get baptised and sealed is such great work!
Well, I love you all so much and I miss you! Not a day goes by that I don't miss you! Thanky ou for your prayers, and please keep them up. I need them now more than ever!
love, Sistah Dixon

Sarah's September 8th email

Hey all!
I...er....forgot to tell you....week of transfers our p-day is on Wednesday sorry. I miss you all so much, it's hard to believe I've been out two months already. sixteen more to go.

So transfer news: I'm gettin transferred. To a new area where sisters have never been, which means I will have to start everything from scratch. To boldly go where no sister has gone before...epic. Maybe I'll get put on the cape. then I can eat fish . oddly, nobody has yet fed me any seafood. update: I may also be training a greenie. This will be an exciting transfer for me. of course, I really don't know yet, but that is what it is looking like. I'll let you know on Monday.

Thank you so much for the package!!! It is just what I needed! The miniquad is beautiful!!!! I just grinned and grinned when I saw the embossing.

Thank you all for your prayers! They are working! We found three people to teach while tracting!!! You all really are miracle workers! And do you remember Regina? Well after we gave her the first discussion, our conversation went like this:
Us: so will you read and pray that this is true?
Her: Yeah, I really feel it is. I look froward to reading.
Us: And will you come to church this Sunday?
Her: You know, I loved church so much, I definitely will!
Us: After you come to know these things are true, will you be baptized?
Her: Yeah, absolutely!
Us:...hows the end of the month sound?
Her: That sounds great! I can't wait. I just think this is so right!
Us:
Us after she's gone:
It was really great. I'm sad that I won't be around to see her baptized, but I'm so excited for her!!!!

My darling mother and Father: Thank you for loving each other. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for being kind, generous, responsible adults. Thank you for your love and support and for teaching us good values. And thank you for being consistent these 35 years. It means a lot to me, especially now.

I'm about to get even sappier...are you ready?

We teach that families that teach and practice gospel principals will be blessed with strengthened relationships, and that family happiness is a taste of eternal life. and yeah--I can see that. I love you guys

I hope things go well in school and work and everyday life. I miss you all!
luvs!
Sistah Dixon

p.s.

So all of you wonderful wonderful people out there who are sending me letters, my address is changing, so wait until I e-mail the new one to you, or you can refer back to the Natick address, and they will forward it to me. I will miss being here in Granby. The nativs add 'r's to the end of lots of their words. like 'arear' and 'idear'. it's adorable. I will miss that. They don't do it in the city. well, love you all!
Sistar Dixon.

ps, do you know you can write me through Dear Elder, and they will send it as a real letter for free? it would be sooo easy....and nice...and I'd get letters....more letters...

pps, Heather, will you let Lisa and Renee know? thanks.
